All our consumer packs and point of sale material feature QR codes which offer consumers ripening education as well as sustainable farming information from 5th generation pear grower, Chuck Baker.
Meet the Grower:
Today’s consumer wants to understand the origins of their food. We bring consumers closer to the orchards with images of Chuck Baker, A fifth generation pear grower and Rivermaid Trading Company’s Director of Agriculture. Consumers can connect via QR code to a short video of Chuck discussing sustainable farming in his family’s 100+-year-old pear orchards.
Consumers prefer ready-to-eat fruit, but sometime they need help understanding the physiology of pears and how pears behave as they ripen. We’ve developed some simple messages for use at the pear display that have proven to help consumers with their selection and create better eating experiences at home. These cards are particularly effective in July and August Bartlett displays.
Recipe ideas and nutrition education:
Through our industry associations we have access to hundreds of tested recipes and the most up to date and relevant nutrition research. Look to us each season for the hottest images and ideas to educate your customers.

Our Pixie Pears brand helps move small fruit profitably. Consumers love the Pixie characters, and when merchandised in bags or totes, the multi-pear purchase creates an extra ring at the register.
