Field Representative

In his role as field man for Rivermaid Trading Company, Bill Mettler really gets around. In California’s cherry season, he covers orchards from Stanislaus to Butte Counties, and in pear season from Walnut Grove to Ukiah.

我妈跟我说她想做,我让年迈父亲尝了性That kind of coverage is appropriate for Bill, whose career covered such areas as commodity management and pest management after graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, in 1976.

He joined Rivermaid in 1997 “and never looked back.”

“I thoroughly enjoy working with growers and their families to supply the best quality fruit to our best ability,” he says. “We work hard to provide a product every consumer wants to buy and keep coming back to buy.”

Bill takes great pride in the fact that Rivermaid Trading Company is a recognized leader in the pear industry and “a growing force to be reckoned with.”

Bill contributes to the agriculture industry in a variety of ways, including his role as president of the Houston Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Association and his prior work with the California Tomato Advisory Board.

When he’s not in the field, Bill enjoys wine tasting, fishing (he leads the Sorry Anglers fishing club), golf, cooking, farming and travel.
